Dario Cellamaro Swingsuite Quintet

Jazz quintet founded in 1994 from an idea of his leader Dario Cellamaro - drummer - who has been inspired by a great drummer of past time: Mr. Art Blakey. In fact, as Mr. Blakey made with his "Jazz Messangers", Dario Cellamaro had a lot of musicians in his group from 1994 till now.

A lot of musicians played like side men in concerts and in recording session. (Eight CD published from 1995 to 2007). His favourite music is "from mainstream to be-bop" and was a great success of Dario Cellamaro his meeting with Clark Terry with whom he recorded two CD in 1996 and 1998 and played a lot of concerts in Italian Jazz Festivals as well (1997 - 1998 - 1999).

This night in Ispra, Dario has four good friends and great musicians with him: Stefano Caniato (piano) - Stefano Dall'Ora (double bass) - Emilio Soana (trumpet & fluegelhorn) and Danilo Moccia (trombone).

Opening of show will be some tunes from last CD "Simo's fun" and after some original tunes of Dario playing for first time in this concert !!! Surely a very good performance for friends and with friends this night. Dario loves very much a Dizzy Gillespie's titled "A NIGHT IN TUNISIA" so he wishes himself . "A (great) NIGHT IN ISPRA" .
